The Weekend Background Check

As a friend prepares to go on a trip with a new boyfriend, the authors wonder just how much they know about the man in question. A couple of quick Google searches turn up nothing. Who is this mystery man? Thus begins a weekend project in Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) where Google searches are just the tip of the iceberg.

I wrote an iPhone app that takes a picture and turns it into a four-line poem, using AI. If you've got a (paid) OpenAI API key then you might like to get it from the App Store.

Word Travels

I built an iOS app that picks a random English word, translates it into a random second language, and makes you guess which one it is. Get it from the App Store.

CroppyTime

I wrote a macOS app that makes it easy to crop images. Simply drag an image onto it, select a region, and hit return to export a cropped JPEG of the selected region. Download it directly from here.
